Using GIMP to edit images

Getting Started with Image Preparation

1. Clean Image Requirement

To achieve the best results with Flix10K, use clean images of the face. Ensure the placenta around the face is erased as much as possible. This can be done using a simple photo editing software called GIMP. Download GIMP from the following link:

2. Download and Install GIMP

Download and install GIMP on your computer using the link above.

Selecting Images to Edit

3. Choosing the Best Images

Select images that provide the clearest, cleanest shot of the face in 3D/HD. Choose the best shots and download them from the gallery. The downloaded files will be in a .zip format. Unzip the file to extract the images.

4. Opening Images

Right-click on the image file you want to edit and select Open With > GIMP. This will open the image in GIMP.

5. Using the Eraser Tool in GIMP

When you open GIMP for the first time, follow these steps:

• Select the Eraser Tool.
• 
• Reverse the colors so that the eraser erases to black.
• 
• Increase the size of the eraser to 100.
•

To erase the placenta, hold down the left mouse button and drag the eraser over the placenta, erasing it to black.

7. Saving the Edited Image

Once the image is edited, save it by selecting File > Export As. In the dialog box that appears, name the file and specify the destination folder. Then click Export.

8. Upgrading Your Account

To upgrade your account for Flix10K, click on the Not Subscribed link in the Flix10K column. When the dialog box appears, click Save.

9. Uploading the Edited Images

Upload the edited images back to your account by clicking on the Upload link and adding the edited images.

10. Enhancing the Image

Go to the gallery and select the edited image.

Scroll to the bottom of the gallery and click on the AI Enhance button. The image will be enhanced and added back to the gallery.
